Trey Garman
Please join me in welcoming Trey Garman to the OUTRIGGER family as global communications specialist. Trey started with us on February 26 and reports to Monica Salter, VP global communications & social responsibility.
Trey worked with former partner XTERRA, where he was global communications director. Before that, he was vice president and also marketing director at TEAM Unlimited (Television Events And Marketing).
Responsible for managing and implementing communication strategies globally, Trey will create and distribute information to internal and external stakeholders, including news releases, newsletters, ‘OhanaGRAMs and corporate messaging. He will also support initiatives around ESG and OUTRIGGER Zone, craft talking points, coordinate and support the planning and execution of corporate sponsorship events and manage the corporate contact database for event invitations and messaging.
Trey holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where he played baseball for the Rainbows under Hall of Fame coach Les Murakami.
In his leisure time, he enjoys connecting with friends and family, exploring Hawai‘i’s amazing trails, traveling abroad and cheering on our University of Hawai’i athletic programs. He shares that his kids are his greatest pride and joy with a daughter at Boise State University and a son in high school at Kamehameha Schools.
